The cat must have said something very offensive to Ritsuko and then they got into a staring contest. (I used to get into those all the time with my cats and I would win usually--but when those times I felt my eyes tearing I would reach out and pet their heads and say: Whose my fuzzy-wuzzy kitty! (Ack! I jabber too much!)) Aren't depicting dreams through drawing fun? I really like how you did Ritsuko, she's so pretty! And how DID pen-pen show up? Misato, take care of your pets!
I wish I had these kinds of dreams When I come to think about it, it is very interesting to draw your dreams because they normally make no sense unless interpreted so much that they could mean anything. But enough nonsense.
I guess you tried to make it sorta like a comic panel, because it does look like it represent a small change in time, rather than all three pictures depicting the same event at the excact same time. I like they way you did it though. First panel shows an absolutely gorgeous drawing of Ritsuko.. one of the best I've seen in a long time. I think it was good you used alot of time to decide on the colours because they do play really well together and give it a much more balanced feel than it would have had, had the backgrounds just been grey, white or black. The shading on her is very good as well.. not too soft, not too hard, and her expression is very intriguing. Not much to say about the Neko-chan.. faithfully reproduced, with its dual cute/dangerous look that is seen so many times in Azumanga Daiou. The fact that the backgrounds are just coloured one colour does not do anything bad for the drawing at all, either. On the contrary, it draws attention to the figures instead of confusing with the multitude of colours a faithfull reproduction of a living room would give. Pen-pen is cute too ^^
I know I just fav'ed another of your drawings, but this one is even better in my oppinion, so one more
