Ummm, not much to say really. 150+ hours of my life were spent to make this and...... I've got nothing to say.
Elfen Lied crossover with Tales of Symphonia. Lucy is dressed as Presea and Nana is dressed up as Presea's little sister in the game, Alicia. ..........I *SWEAR* my crossover ideas are usually MUCH more clever than this. (...150+ hours...) ._. Lucy & Nana, Elfen Lied © Rin Okamoto (who the heck is "Lynn" Okamoto? Presea & Alicia Combatir, Tales of Symphonia © Kousuke Fujishima, NAMCO By the way, if ya like my art, would you PLEASE give me a comment? There's a very distrubing trend on DA where it's supposedly cool to not say anything anymore. Well, gee, you can't ALL be lurkers; I mean, what's the fun in thaaat? So, hey now[!] I really DO like to hear from all of you, aw'right? ^_^ (Edit: changed full-view to suit 1024:768) CommentsGod, I hate lurkers.
This is really nice! I wasn't sure if it was fanart, at first ^_^ I need to watch EL. I like how everything around them is out of focus, especially the petals. I like how you drew the girls, the shadows, the textures, the hair. The glint on the axe is a nice touch. I don't really know the crossover, but this artwork is very good! -- "Being so passionate about something is a talent in itself." -Alphonse Elric <img src="http://dragcave.net/image/1o9s.gif" style="border-width: 0" alt="Adopt one today!"/> PLEASE CLICK. Eggs need love. HOLY CRAP, 150+ hours. Thats what i call putting in effort. Longest i ever spent was 8 hours.
-- I am the only SATT!!!! Dont thank me for the comment drop by my gallery and comment on some of my stuff [link] Oh my God, I had no idea you were going to go into this much detail with this one! And although you say 150+ hours, it seems like it's so soon after seeing the lineart you put in Scraps!
...Were you hiding this from us? The expression on Lucy's face is exquisite - so un-Presea-like, but yet...so perfect for the crossover. I also take delight in seeing you've used the staircase that Nana and Lucy first meet (outside the base of course) in Elfen Lied. The background is excellent. -- no more hiding, no disguising, no more lies... I think the re-emergence of the Search engine brought forth the lurkers from HELL. XD; Because even I've been getting favorites waaaay more than usual.
I do fear you're going to KEEP TOPPING your work times on these things, though... and one day you'll churn out something that took a nonstop 6 months to complete and everyone will be like O_O and therefore be speechless! 150 hours... that amount of time had BETTER have a good end result. XD I don't know why, but Lucy's expression reminded me of someone else... though it slips my mind, right now... still, your mad, OCD-ridden skills for DETAIL reign supreme once again. And it's so bold and colorful... -- What kind of matches are you gonna ask for next? A shark-tank match? Where the only way to win is to stuff your opponent in a shark's mouth, and then pin the shark? I'm pititful in how much time I put into my own works. Ha ha ha!
Anyways I'm in awful awe (like really) at how well this piece came out. Alot of time well spent on a great deviation. Alot of detail and the picture is very... how to say... uplifting? cheery? Not sure but I really like it. It almost reminds me of those screenshots from some of those anime computer games. Really superb work! It certainly does look like it took quite a while. I'd say time is worth it all, when you're able to finish something, especially if it's a detailed piece.
Elfen Lied is one of those anime I've been meaning to watch all the way through, but I haven't really found time. I like the 'crossover' done here, though. It's a neat idea. RE: the no comments thing? I'd say in the earlier days (and from time to time now) , I was guilty of that myself, though it was mostly due to not being able to think of what to say without echoing others' 'great job' 'ooh pretty' comments. I've noticed that the 'quiet'-and-fave trend has grown in a disturbingly rapid way lately, though. It's like "But don't you have anything to say about it?". 150 hours? Phew. That's really..a lot put in. Not that it's all that bad, though. |
