'eyyy, finally got around to coloring
this drawing from two weeks ago.
The step-by-step over those two weeks. (I'm thinking in the future I won't rely so heavily on line drawings for my paintings, and just try to let the tablet do all the work.)
Dedicated to ~sweet-suzume, who's thoughts and writings move me to create even when I'm at my slumpiest, art-wise ~^
You've outdone yourself yet again, man!
A small part of me wants to un-blur the foreground; just because you never see any of the godly artists of the world doing that, unless it's an X-treem action shot.
I still think the touch of blur looks fine! The specks of light/sparks around the center lamp have that touch of blur that freezes them mid-motion, so it really feels like a movie still to me. C:
I saw the sketch of this and that was pretty mind-blowing, but this is on a whole other level. Once again you blow me away with your attention to the smallest detail. This is amazing!
.................i feel like i'm going to go back and fix this; portfolio pieces always get doubly-extra attention. ^~;
...and of course, per usual, you're using a combination of lighting and detail to draw the viewer's attention where you want it. I'll admit I had to remind myself to go and take a look everywhere else
